Fall is Coming!

I am SO EXCITED for fall! Usually I don’t get this excited for fall any other year, but maybe this Texas heat is finally getting to me. I can’t wait for it to be LESS hot…

Or maybe I am just excited for a color change. I am all into burgundy, deep purple, and burnt orange. The burnt orange may also be Texas getting to me; either way, I am loving it this year!!! I have been busy making scarves for my Etsy shop orders, but I am also trying out new fall colors for infinity scarves. I am hoping to make some other things with these fall colors too, so stay tuned!

I am also beginning to search Pinterest for pumpkin recipes. YUM!!!! I can’t wait to make a pumpkin spice roll, Old Bay pumpkin seeds, pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, and I’m sure I will come up with more pumpkin flavored recipes that my husband will for sure get tired of… But for now, nothing can kill my autumn buzz!

What is your favorite thing about autumn?

And Facebook is Up!

So I have been pretty busy focusing on my getting my Etsy shop back up after moving and getting up social media sites for Caught on a Hook. Well, I now have another outlet: Caught on a Hook is now on Facebook! Whoop whoop! I will be keeping you posted on Facebook on things I am working on and what is going on with me. I am more prone to check Facebook more than anything else since like the rest of my generation, I may be addicted… So come like me on Facebook! I am so excited to post the crocheting process and what I’m doing for the fall!

New Item!

I have added a new item to my Etsy shop! I am absolutely OBSESSED with this yarn! I love Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable yarn! It is the softest acrylic yarn I have ever worked with, and I love using it for infinity scarves. This scarf is also my favorite, but I am also biased that it is all multicolored blue hues (I can’t stop buying blue yarn…). I am ready for fall to begin!

I am now in Instagram! Come follow me at caughtonahook on the app! I will be sharing pictures of what I’m working on and new items. I’ve been working on some new items that will be up on my Etsy shop soon. I am SO excited for fall and I am crocheting away getting ready! Check out my page for fall items!

Here’s a sneak peek…

Back Up and Running!

YAY! I’ve finally renewed listings and I am working on fresh items for the fall/winter! Finally I have gotten everything back up and running between settling in our new home and working. This is a huge relief for me! I cannot wait to explore with more gorgeous scarves and other items for this fall and winter! They are my favorite items to crochet and I cannot wait to share! I am bummed I won’t be able to wear scarves in Texas like I used to in Maryland, but that won’t stop me from making them! Check out my Etsy shop for fall accessories!

Happy crocheting!!! 😀

Sweet Pea Shawl

Moving has been absolutely crazy. I haven’t been able to crochet much lately, but I finally made some time on a day off. My mom wanted a new shawl for cool mornings at her newly bought farm. We’ve looked at tons of patterns on Pinterest but none seemed to catch her eye. I showed her the Sweet Pea Shawl from the Happy Hooker book, and she really liked it! She wanted the yarn to be Unforgettable in Tidal, which is my favorite type of yarn to use. I love how colorful it is! Hopefully she will like it completed as much as I do!

Now that I have finished my top priority project, I will be working on getting my Etsy shop back up and running. I let everything expire since I didn’t have time to keep up with the site, but it will be back up soon! More gorgeous scarves are on the way!

New City!

I have been incredibly busy these last couple of months, with finishing out the school year and moving. My husband and I have chosen to relocate to Austin, Texas! As we explore new food, sites, hiking spots, boutiques, the river, the history, and live music, I will be recording our new memories. This city is more conducive to our love of the style mashup including Mediterranean/Spanish/Mexican cuisine and furniture. I can’t wait to begin exploring!
