Earrings for Presents

For my friends’ Christmas presents, I decided to make earrings and fingerless gloves. I began making earrings, then I realized one of my friends doesn’t even wear dangly earrings. I’ve decided I will just give several pairs as presents to other friends and family members because I bought so much crochet thread to make various pairs of earrings. This is my first pair, which is a teardrop pattern I found. I liked this pattern, but I’m not a fan of all the picots around the edge. I love the teardrop pattern so I will adjust this pattern to include the first two rows and add a single crochet row of stitches around the second row instead of the picots. I picked my new favorite color of mint green to try out the first pair but I also bought two more variegated threads to try out for earrings as well. I will post pictures as soon as I whip up new pairs!

Warmer Weather

Today was finally warm enough where I did not have to wear a scarf to class to keep warm, so I decided to whip out the first set of earrings I’ve ever crocheted! This pattern is from the July/August issue of Crochet Today! from last year. I fell in love with these earrings and I wanted to wait until I wasn’t wearing a scarf to overload on wearing things I’ve crocheted. These were so simple and took no time to whip up!
